About once a year I start to wheeze for no good reason. Sleepless nights ensue and I might start coughing up gunk. Normally I am never bothered by the onset of asthma, as I have lived with it my whole life and I usually have inhalers to combat it. Inevitably, the damn things run out and I am never organised enough to get new inhalers in advance. Hence the coughing and spluttering.
The classic problems are surfacing at work with my current project. Another division has decided to ship on the day of the code freeze, which defies all logic. There is no point in testing software, if there is no time to incorporate fixes for bugs. All that testing will achieve at such a late stage is prove how shabby the product is. And yet this mistake continues to be made by companies all over the world, in all kinds of projects.
Other news... I am about to book my flight to Kalamazoo, MI for Thanksgiving! Assuming US Homeland Security let me in, I'll be on US soil between 18th and 26th November. I'm really looking forward to it!
