Saturday or how FOB rocked Berlin.

So, I’m back and now I will tell you everything about this little show they played Saturday in Berlin.

Let’s skip KID DOWN (they were actually pretty good, but still…) and start with THE SOUNDS. Maja really is incredible live. She wore these high heels and this tiny skirt and what that woman can do in that outfit on a stage! You have to see it for yourselves when you have the opportunity. I recommend it. *nods* They aren’t that well-known over here, so she couldn’t capture the crowed, which is kinda blah. But still. They’re really good live. If you like Cobra you will like The Sounds I think.

Okay, now sit back and relax. This will take some time. (And there will be a lot squee in the mix, I apologise.)
It was a pretty small gig with just about 2000 people maybe less, so you could actually see really well. (We were standing on the gallery/balcony because I bruise easily and Katha is small and the mosh pit was insane.)
Patrick looked pretty good (he lost weight I think), Pete was his Pete-y self, Joe’s hair is a lot longer and Andy was just a god on the drums (he played in boxers and tattoos). You could feel the drums in every fibre of your body! God, it was sooooo good. ANDY!
Pete/Patrick moments: A lot.
- Pete stalking Patrick on stage, Patrick backing away, Pete saying something like ‘It’s not about your hair or your face it’s always about your crotch’ and making a grab for it. (Poor Patrick! *laughs*)
- Pete putting Patrick’s headphone back into his ear. (Cute!).
- Pete wiping Patrick’s sweat away from his neck (and throwing the towel into the crowd - oh damn you mosh pit!).
- Patrick and Pete dancing. Those boys. *sighs*
- Pete taking his hoodie off, pushing his shirt up and plastering himself to Patrick’s back to rub…Patrick was of course cool and just sang and played. (He knows how to ignore his bass player…)
Other memorable moments:
Pete doing the ‘fangs up’ (Which you can see . Yes it’s a video! Okay, you can more hear than see it, but still. It’s funny. He just knows what to do and say to work a crowd. Okay? Okay.)
Pete making Patrick do a Kennedy impression. (Same video.)
Pete apologising for their lack of German, what with his last name being Wentz and Patrick’s Stump. (BOYS!)
Pete saying it’s easy to make German girls scream (Well…no, it’s not…we don’t just scream for anybody, you know?!), also him saying he thinks they’re loved in Berlin. (Yes, and in other towns too. *nods*)
Oh, hey, yes, they did play music too. I love Kayne West’s ‘American boy’. (Patrick’s voice.)
I don’t care, Dance, dance, Sugar, Headslide, Saturday and you know some others. They played from every album at least two songs. (Most of my favourites where played and even the songs I don’t like that much were pretty cool live.)
Did I squee about Patrick talking already? He isn’t that shy on a stage, really. He really rocks with his guitar and his voice and glaring at Pete is totally an ART.
Also, Pete saying all these funny and random and clever things. *loves* (I really don’t understand how someone can not like him…except you actually have the pleasure/displeasure to know him.*shakeshead* I mean, he is kinda adorable and tiny and Pete. Okay, I’m totally going to shut up now.)
So,

I’m sharing. (Sorry, my camera’s zoom sucks. But hey…whatever. I’m better with words anyway, so you actually don’t need the pictures to know how great it was. And if you’ve seen them play already you don’t need the pictures anyway.) Random facts of the night: Pete got a new shirt, Patrick got a scarf (pink and purple…), the stuff at the Columbia Hall can’t spell (proof) and I screamed at the top of my lungs.Needless to say it was great, but I say it anyway: IT WAS GREAT and now run along and buy a ticket.

my dad was a drummer
