I'm down for a while - TELL me what movies or documentaries to watch!!

Hey everyone,

So , here's the deal. I need your help to help me fill my days.

I did do some performances recently - a show in Montreal at Le Cagibi with Postcards and Brave Radar on Friday October 12th and then performing and hanging around the Ottawa International Writers Festival, playing with cellist Patrick Dedauw for Kathleen Winter's wonderful reading at the National Archives on Sunday the 14th, and then some fun improv playing /reacting to great crazy tales of snapping turtles and gypsies by Leon Rooke.

BUT BEFORE THEN - I slipped on my steps and fell on my back  and I injured it pretty badly  (and yes, I was sober at the time) on October 9th.

This was the day after coming back from Pop Montreal and their Pop and Policy conference (during which which I wasn't often sober) and I did a great show here in Ottawa on October 8th at Irene's.

ANYWAY -
I just got back from my first session with my physiotherapist this afternoon (sigh! there is hope!) and she told me that I need to just
"lie down for a week" with two pillows between my legs and not sit too much at all and not work at all , and ice my back every hour for 15 minutes and to just lie there as much as I can , besides short walks once in a while, and maybe watch DVDs to stop this pain and dreadful muscle spasming that's been happening in my right lower back.

AND YES, I'm almost always medicated.
Life slows down, funny enough.

SO< to help me get through this uselessness,

WHAT MOVIES or VIDEOs or DOCUMENTARIES would you recommend?

Name your favourites, and if you send me ideas soon enough, I'll hobble  to the videostore or the library and pick them up.

- Any staged versions of the opera Lulu out there?
- Should I relive the glorious splendour that was Porky's?
- What documentaries will make me realize I really know nothing about The Dead Sea Scrolls?

HELP!

THANKS!

(I'll have a prize announced later for which one is the most informative , or most entertaining, or which one mixes best with my current medication. I watched all of City Lights again by Charlie Chapin a few days ago , and turned into a weepy dreamy mess.)

SEND your suggestions!!
