Everyone go run a disk cleanup

So I got home from work yesterday and logged onto WoW, as usual. Well, there was a patch. A very tiny one, at that. Well, I started to download it, and saw something I had never seen before. A window popped up and proceeded to very calmly and "matter-of-fact"ly inform me that I didn't have enough disk space to download the patch. At first I thought, "Bah, that must be a mistake of some sort....", so I checked my drive, and sure enough, it was full - *completely* full.

So, I started sifting through stuff, but couldn't really find anything I felt I could delete. I decided to run a disk cleanup or whatever its called (something I've never done on this computer in it's current incarnation). I just told it to delete temporary files, empty the recycle bin, and compress old files (not even sure what that does). Well, it took a whopping 9 hours to complete (I went to bed and checked back the next morning). I opened up my hard disk, and...... 16 gigs were freed up. S-I-X-T-E-E-N Gigs. Guess I should do that more often. I'm telling you all this so that you don't make the same mistake and wait 5 years before doing it. Start it up before you leave for work, and when you get home, your computer will be much happier. Strangely, even after all that my computer still claims (as it always does) that it does NOT need defragged. Oh well, whatever makes Zeus happy makes me happy.
