Well, I received what appears to be a job offer yesterday. I'm only 98% sure about that, but it seems that's what the email meant. So, hopefully pretty soon here I'll be a member of the Case Western Reserve University Biophysics and Physiology department. They tell me their bureaucracy is legendary, so it may be a couple weeks before I can start, but hey, that's fine by me. Those who run the lab seem like very cool people, and the research, while not world-changing at the moment, is more interesting than anything else I've been involved with so far. I still won't be making enough money to plausibly live on my own, but I'll probably try anyway and see how it goes. So, high fives all around, folks. Let's hope this one lasts.
