Dude, how can you not like the song of the Phoenix?
We rise again from ashes...
-It symbolizes our veneration the Aztec god Quetzocotal, one of the first to utilize phoenix imagery.

We rise again, to create ourselves anew...
-Recognizes that through reception of Christ in the sacraments, we taken on his godly abilities, and through the intercession of Quetzocotal, can achieve immortality in this life.

An offering of ashes, and offering to you.
-They leave just who this offering is being offered to up for interpretation, recognizing that that we all relate to God in our own personal way, such as goddess our mother.

All sarcasm aside though, although Ashes isn't my favorite song, its a lot better than most the OCP stuff. I mean, I'll grant you that its symbolically ambiguous, but what do you find particularly heretical about it? I mean "we create ourselves anew" is a bit hard to justify, but other than that line, it seems pretty clean.
