My roommate is hilarious. She's eating Cheez-Its with chopsticks. I love it.
Life goes on here at MIT. My classes are essentially done, so I've been doing up the whole social/musical scene around here. Tomorrow I'm trying out for Reefer Madness. Got 20 bucks for ushering the MIT symphony orchestra concert and spent it today at the mall on lights for the dorm room and Legos for a Giving Tree progrsm. This kid is gonna be psyched, I can tell you that. Oh, and we made cards for the soldiers and coloring books for needy children. It felt good to get back in touch with my creative side. Watercolors, scissors, and glue make for a very happy Katie.
I only have 2 finals, and they aren't until the 20th and 21st, so I have to figure out how to get myself focused enough to study before then. Maybe if I get all this activity out of my system now, things will be easier.
Our a cappella concert is next Friday, and there's drama galore. What do you expect from an all-girl group? Think Lord of the Flies. Which I'm reading right now, by the way, the only book I've had time to read for leisure this whole semester. College is too much work. Maybe if I didn't do so many extracurriculars... but you know me. Speaking of, I should be writing an article for the Tech so that I can get on Opinion Staff soon. It's funny, I haven't really had time to formulate any solid opinions on anything in a while. Today I did a lot of thinking to make up for lost time. So yeah, back to work.
