So as of late:
I watched a couple dozen pumpkins drop from the tallest building in Cambridge. Explosion and joy all around.
Ice skated dressed as Olive from Little Miss Sunshine. Only fell twice.
Fulfilled my civic duty, mailed the old absentee ballot.
Pretty sure I'm passing all my classes thus far, although it's kinda hard to tell. The amount of homework makes me feel like a failure since I have to hole myself up in my room to finish anything, but I think I'm doing ok. The only class I'm kind of worried about is calculus. It's progressively going further and further over my head. It's as if I never took high school calc. Oh wait... screw you, Meinhardt. My seminar thing, Mission 2010, takes itself waaaaay too seriously. We're supposed to save New Orleans, and since we're MIT kids we can actually figure it out, or so they think. It's a nine-credit course, but it should be 16, the way I'm supposed to research and attend meetings and all. I spend more time thinking about how much their attitude annoys me than actually looking up the politics and education of New Orleans, so it's hard to get anything done. But I try, oh my God do I try. Still love my English class like woah. Chem's getting exponentially harder, probably cuz we're talking about solids. Ha ha. Nerd joke. Physics I'm actually doing well in, even though the idiot TA sent me a danger of failing email. Then when I talked to him about it, he was like, yeah it's just that one test score (which, by the way, was passing). If you score like that on all the tests, you might get a C. Um hello? That's passing. Anyway, I actually know the material now that we've learned stuff. Screw you, Nan Gu.
Ok, I'm going to church now so I'll feel spiritually sound or something, cuz right now I totally don't. Then more homework, a cappella practice, Mission meeting, and more homework. Oh I love my life.
