Ah the days of summer. This summer has been so much busier than any other summer I have ever experienced, including the ones where my family moved from one state to another. Despite my constant running, I have loved every single moment of it. I truly love my kids that I see everyday. I am going to miss them when I leave in a couple of weeks. Who knows, maybe I'll come back and work next summer too.
The family is gone. They went to Kentucky. Now my sisters are in Toronto, Canada and my parents are in Ottawa, Canada. They are there on a mission trip with the church. Laura and Jackie are with the youth group helping others start new churches around Canada. Only 7% of Canada is churched so they are there to witness to those they meet and hopefully increase that number. Mom and Dad are in Ottawa with some adults from our church helping out an already established church but a young church. The oldest member of their church is 28 I think. So each person is there with a different task. Mom and another lady from the church is teaching on parenting. I don't remember what else everyone else is doing but I know that the church, Celebration Church, is very happy to have them there to help and support their purpose. Please pray that travel is safe and lives are changed. I sure will be. I got pictures and updates today on both trips and I wish I could be there with them. But my job obviously is to stay here and pray. Everyone has a purpose and this seems to be mine. So I will continue to keep them in my prayers and keep trying to make a difference on the homefront.
Friday night Kason, Brenna, Holley, and Emily came and spent the night. It was lots of fun! We did a lot of laughing and a LOT of talking! We did so much talking that we didn't get to bed until 5am. What can you do? We had lots to talk about apparently. But it was fun! I wish I could spend more time with those girls than I do.
I woke up this morning not feeling so hot. I am beginning to feel better. Maybe I'm getting sick from a lack of sleep. You think? Nah, couldn't be :o) Anyway, so I didn't go to church. I have spent the day watching movies and relaxing. It was been quite nice. I watched "Coach Carter." It was much better than I had expected. Its about a highschool basketball team in the innercity. It was so good! Quite the inspiring movie for a future teacher. Then I watched "The Notebook." What a day. I guess you can say its been all about my future. First my career, then my love life. I do hope to find that special someone soon. I'll just keep praying for God to prepare that person for me and then be patient. I know it will happen. It just takes time.
Well, I'm off to be lazy some more I think. Maybe I'll do some hall decorations for next year. I'm very excited about going back to school and seeing all of my friends again! So, tah tah for now. Call me if you like. I'll be here. God Bless :oD
