It's very, very nippy-noodles outside but I have to stay in tip-top form for my first match on Sunday which I'm sure will be the first of many in my very successful career as a Quidditch star and/or back-up dancer, despite the subarctic conditions ( Read more... )

whingeing is my extracurricular activity, ♡ tsunade, ♡ lili, ♥ orochimaru, cold as ice, ♥ lukas, ♥ prince, there is a me in team, quidditch, ♥ jules, ♥ battler, ♡ natalya, ♥ firo, ♥ stein

It has already been established that is is cold outside, I expect it to have no influence over your performance.

I don't suppose you could recommend a decent warming charm for when we're on the pitch. Something along the lines of warmus myus arseinus, preferably.

Once everything goes numb it won't be so bad. Provided I keep all my fingers and wear extra lippy for warmth.

To be honest, I'd rather feel cold myself than not feel anything at all, but eh, to each their own, credo.

Welllll, when the Hitler Youth are absolutely determined to have you practise for 40 years, being numb gets to be a blessing.

...What in the hell does "nippy-noodles" mean?

Instead of whingeing on and on about how it's chilly, you can simply say it is 'nippy noodles'. Quite snappy, I think.

Oh yes, quite snappy. If you disregard how utterly stupid you sound.

Exercise is good for combating cold, you know.

So is staying indoors, but you can't tell people.

You'd rather cancel the game? I don't think your captain would appreciate hearing that -- or ours.

Cancelling would be a bit like forfeiting and we can't just let those swots in Ravenclaw beat us. I don't see why we can't just have the match during a different time when we're not likely to contract TB from frigid conditions.

You know, during final exams or something equally useless.

It is not very cold.

Wrong. YOU go up and down the pitch in the Antarctic tundra and tell me how warm it is.

If you mean the Quidditch field, I have. It is colder back home.

WELL, as I have not voluntarily decided to live on the North Pole and snog penguins, it's chilly enough for me. I had to wear TWO extra pairs of knickers just to get through practise...
