Gah! Finally!

Omg! I've been without internet for days now, and I think I just about went crazy! Craig, after much debate in the household, finally agreed to change internet providers. He was paying 4 times more than he should have been for internet, so we got him to switch over. The new company told us it would take 2 minutes to 2 hours. But that was providing the old carrier would fork over all the information they needed. They didn't, so thus is meant going without internet till the companies hatched things out. And now, I finally have my net back! And not a moment too soon either!

So anyway! Monday I went out to Dreamworld with Wayne and the kids. Had an absolute blast! But I'm going to tell you something... too many rides at once can cause problems for the Mel. We went on The Giant Drop and Tower of Terror in the first 30 minutes. Ouch! The Giant Drop takes you slowly up a tower that reaches 28 stories, and then plummets you to your death. Painfully and with super exhiliration. Zac refused to ride it. lol. But I had promised Wayne and Amber I'd ride all of the major rides of the amusement park. Tower of Terror is much like Giant Drop. It's actually on the same tower as the Giant Drop, just using the other side, and takes you up and down MUCH faster than the former. I enjoyed it immensely too. So right after that, we jumped on a ride called The Claw, and right away, I knew this one would be a problem. It's a pendulum that circles round and round as it tick-tocks back and forth until it reaches 180 degrees. It was super fun, and super nauseating. I don't do round and round, and after that, I wouldn't go on another ride. (Mostly cuz I'm a wuss, and threw up while Amber and Wayne were daring more dizzying heights.) I spent a lot of time with Amber that day. Bought her a cool cell phone strap thing, and bought Zac an ice cream for being brave enough to get on the Tower of Terror (he was almost in tears he was so scared. It was heartbreaking.). All in all it was great fun. I just ended up with a migraine by the end of the day, though... OH! And I got to see real Koalas and pet kangaroos that day! It totally ruled! I could have cuddled a koala for about $20, but I passed.

Nothing major on Tuesday. I was so bored, I finished the edit on my book, and the final chapter, at last! Pretty rewarding experience...just really didn't have anyone to spend it with, cuz Wayne was spending time with Zac. And then today, I nearly went crazy with boredom, so I called my friend Greg, and we went out to the shops together and talked and bought food and diapers for his little ones. (Yes, all my friends are adults with responsibilities. So what?! They're still cool! He's a sensei! And he's really nice.)

I'm missing the advent of friends right now, though. People to just go hang out with. Wayne goes back to work next week, Craig works all day too, and the only other friends I have work day jobs as well. I might see about hanging out with Greg again next week, cuz come June 10th, he's taking a flight to Iraq cuz he's been deployed there for 6 months. *sigh* Oh well, though, I'll figure out something to do to bide my time... like play WoW incessantly. LOL!

So yeah, that's it... my life is boring.
