Rosette was pretty damn rattled about the whole amnesia thing. One of her constants is that Chrno will be there! He's her companion through all of this, and the fact that he not only didn't remember her was one hell of a blow. So she chalked it up to Camp Being A Dick and resolved to be there for Chrno -- which I assume she was, beating him in the head as she is wont to do.

Chrno is so much Rosette's rock and she relies on him so much. I tend to assume that for Rosette, she values the partnership over and above any romantic feelings that she has towards him. Sure, she's pretty much fallen in love with him during the series -- or at least, that's my take on it -- but their partnership transcends that and is far more important to her. She may fall out of love with him but she will always be his partner. So having him forget that was a shock! But she also resolved pretty much immediately to get it back because hey, who cares if he doesn't remember temporarily. She knows, and as his partner, it's her job to kick sense into him ( ... )
