The Big Man Upstairs has been renovating my soul for quite some time now and I feel so energized.
To keep everyone up to speed, here is the most recent news:
God is calling me to Foreign Medical Missions
Now I don't really have any concrete plans to carry this out as of this moment, but He has placed in my life a possibility. There is a new organization whose mission is to provide healthcare (specifically Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy) to underdeveloped countries. This organization is RFA - Rehabilitation for All - and it is based out of Falmouth, MA and was started in December 2004.
They are currently working in Ethiopia, providing traveling training seminars for community based workers on how to rehabilitate serious childhood/lifetime diseases (polio, cerebral palsy, et.).
I am really praying that I can get involved with this group for my second co-op, and it would be nice (especially for the 'rents) if I could make atleast a little money. So, I really wanted to share that with y'all...whoever is out there reading this...which may not be too many peeps because of the switch to xanga. Please be praying for me and my fellow PT students that we can all feel driven to provide the best health care we can to everyone but most especially to those in dire need. And please pray that I can pursue this opportunity with fervor and secure a position with such an organization as RFA.
