Explainations
In the interest of time-wasting, I'm here to explain a few miscellaneous things about this journal.
First of all, the title - "What the Birds See". This isn't all that deep or original, one of my very favourite novels is Of a Boy by Sonya Harnett. In the US this novel is published under the title What the Birds See. It seemed appropriate as I'm a bird person and I'm missing my budgies at the moment. They're living with my mum as I can't have pets at my current apartment.

My default picture (the one heading this entry) should be fairly self-explanatory. I love Devo. I love whippets. I love puns. I use this pic for general posts that don't really fit into the other ones.
I've seen Mean Girls far too many times and can recite too much of it by heart. This pic is to illustrate silliness or girlishness. It's kind of interchangeable with whippet good.
This is my main avatar in Second Life - Dakota Buck (often known as 'Kota). I'll use this image for any Second Life related entries.
Twiggy is my personal style icon. My favourite model. The queen of mod. Associate this pic with any style or fashion related entries.
I'm proud to wear glasses, in fact I'll be getting new ones next week. I like thick frames; geek is chic, baby! This is the image to use for any posts related to academia, literature or my own writings.
