[The blankets were soft, warm, and inviting. The morning rays trickled through the shear curtains that hung around a perfect little window. It was a peaceful morning, the birds were singing and…. Wait… blankets? Birds singing

[At that Rachel let out a heavy sigh. Sounds like Numbuh 86 was herself, for good or bad.]
Don't mind her, thats how she acts around boys.
She asked you if you wanted to be a cadet in the KND? If you are interested in battling adult tyranny I don't see why not seeing how we seem to be short handed now. I can have one of my operavites check you out to see if you have the potential.
And what do you mean she's supposta "your sister". I know her real little brother.
I-I don't know. I really don't know what it's about... The adults where I'm from aren't bad. [Selim is confused.]
--That's what this place says though! I don't have siblings back home, but here... they take us from our families and put us with new ones. [Quietly.] Just look around, there's pictures and everythings.
I don't know. My only guess is that it has to do with her two younger brothers back home. I have a little brother myself and I know how they can be.
Back in my world some of the adults try to oppress us kids with their unjust rules. When ever there is a kid forced to go to bed at 9:30 or finish their vegetables before they can have dessert, we'll be there insuring kids every where their rights. Amd look at this place... its so... delightful. It is our duty as the Kids Next Door to rescue all the kids where from this place and see them safely back at home.
[After giving her passion filled speech, Rachel puased. Thats what is says? She didn't really look around her house when she first woke up. Her first concern was contacting the KND.]
Wh-what? Hold on...
[Rachel lowered the phone and poked her head around the corner in the living room and sure enough, just like Selim said there was a 'family' portrait sitting upon the mantle place. That was not her family
( ... )
I wouldn't do anything mean though... I don't normally get to play with other kids, so it's nice.
...So you mean like the military back home?! That sounds neat!
[He listened, Pride rearing his head and smirking. These worms were so easily affected by things like this.]
A-alright.
[He listened, waiting. Wondering how long it would be for this child to dissolve into tears or pitch a fit. Somehow, no matter how annoying it was, it amused him. At least within the guise of "Selim" he was a perfectly behaved child.]
[And then the girl is back, and human act shifted back just as easily as normal.]
Y-yeah... It's the same, huh? ...My dad runs an entire country back home... so if I can help, let me know. I'm little... but it's the least I can do.
You were right, there were pictures everywhere. What ever they're trying to pull here I don't like it one bit. I'm sure you want to go home to see your real family.
You say your dad runs a country? Then I'm sure you have some valuable skills that could come in handy. I'll make sure to send Numbuh 1 over to evaluate you. Where did you say you live?
Don't worry Selim, I'll get you home to see your mother again. Until then you'll have to be strong.
508 Ricardo Street? Got it. I'll make sure to past the information along. Is there any further information who know about this place? How long have you been stuck here?
A-ah, alright! I'll do my best! If I can be of any help, please say so!
...Not much, no. I heard there's... seventeen people here from where I'm from there. And there's 'fake people', but not much more. I--It's going to be a month in a few more days.
We will be glad to have your help. At the moment we don't have a base to call our own so there isn't much we can do. The first thing we need to do is get organized.
Fake people? What do you mean "fake people"?
You've been here for almost a month? Thats for too long for any kid to endure this place. I just got here and I've already had enough.
I-I'm not very good at math, but I'm alright with writing and list making, I used to help Mother do it. I-if you guys need that.
That's right... They don't act like normal people and they all act the same. Anyone that doesn't remember a different place is one of them.
It's not so bad, really! It's scary at first, and it still sort of is now... but it's not really hurting you.... I'm just worried about Father, the last I remember... I think our train exploded.
Don't worry about it now, soldier. We'll find you something to do.
[Rachel rubbed her chin, deep in thought.]
Hmm, this is very troubling. Sounds like the enemy has spies in their ranks to keep us in line. I'll make note to be careful around them.
Not that bad?! Its worse than I feared. With your prolonged exposure to this place it looks like the delightfulization has started to brainwash you! Don't worry Selim, you just need to hold on a little longer and keep your sanity until we can bust outta here.
IGNORE THE FACT THIS IS A PRIDE ICON.trappedprideJune 6 2010, 21:56:09 UTC
A-alright.
...I guess you can call 'em that, but they don't really do anything.
...Delightfulization? I'm not brainwashed! It's just... I've been safe, people have died since I've come here--- so I'm lucky. I know it's mean, and they come back and everything, but I just... I don't want to get into trouble, Mother wouldn't like it very much.
Even so, I wouldn't trust them. its the quiet ones you need to look out for.
You mean you haven't been delightfulized? Listen its fine to want to play it safe. We are in the heart of enemy territory, but some rules are meant to be broken. We have to take some risks if we ever hope to get out of here. I'm sure your mother will understand if you broke a few rules to get home.
I understand its scary to stand up against adult tyranny, but its for the better good of kid kind everywhere.
[Quiet for a moment, little PrideSelim is quiet.]
--People are here. I'm Selim Bradley.

Are you sure? You've seen one of my operatives? What does she look like?

...She sort of asked if I wanted to be a cadet in that thing. She's supposed to be my sister here.
