Took the day off... I chose a good day as there was torrential rainfall a few hours ago. I took some nifty pics.

Damn, y'all did get soaked pretty thoroughly today. We had a couple hours of constant rain here, but it was just a typical summer afternoon shower. And all the news would show was the flooding on US 59 near Montrose and at the 610 Loop. What floor is y'all's apartment on? It looks like you're maybe a few feet about ground level in those last two pictures.

we are on the 1st level of living space, but that is above 2 levels of parking garage.. half of the lower level parking garage is below grade, hence the flooded pool. I would never anticipate water getting way up here (technically 2.5 stories up) but I guess stranger things have happened!

strange thing is the other 2 buildings got NO water in their lower level garages! Lucky them... Talked to the Apt Manager and he said the reason our building got flooded was because of all the spur construction and our proximity to Holman street, which got about 4 feet of water... he said the outlet for the pump is on the Holman side of the building, and the outlet was underwater, so it was pretty much pointless, hehe.. very comforting.
