Fin de Semana
The weekend... it was too short. grrr.. and its late on Sunday night and I'm not sleepy!
Saturday Bobby and I went to look at apartments as our lease is up at the end of the month and we have given our notice. We saw a whole lot of nice ones.. even toured a high rise complex which was very nice, but it was built in the late 60s so it just wasn't exactly what we are looking for (but a cool view indeed!) We looked at Amli Midtown and Amli Town Square, both were great! Camden Midtown didn't have anything for our timeframe or budget, but they are kinda bland looking anyways. We visited this one called The Estates at Memorial Heights.. it was nice for the price, but the apt they had available just seemed a little cramped and the leasing lady just rubbed me the wrong way, so that sucked. It was obvious that she thought we were just wasting her time and she wanted to get us out of there ASAP so she could do other things!
Sunday was nice and relaxing.. I slept till 11, woot! We went to a movie, saw "The Hitchikers Guide to the Galxy" which was cute and funny. After that we hopped on the MetroRail and went to Herman Park and rented one of those little pedal boats on the lake. I havent been on one of those boats since I was little kid, so it was interesting. It was a bit embarasing as the boat was lopsided since I weigh a bit more than Bobby! :) Took Bob and I a bit to figure out the steering on the thing, you would think that would be simple, but it wasn't. well I should go to bed...
