LOL! We are going to look at the Calais, I really like those, and they are practically brand new. I like the floor plan called "Tolouse" or something like that. My only concern is the wood floors... Does every apartment have them in the living/dining/kitchen area? or do some have carpet?

the toulouse is nice. it has the little computer niche thing. i love ours though we don't use it. hehe

as far as the flooring, only the bedrooms have carpet. everything else will be the stained concrete or hardwood. the stained concrete is only on 1st floor units.

I have more questions about the Calais, who better to answer them than you :)

Do they have any type of move in specials or deals? And what about the parking... we will have a one bedroom, but will they still give us 2 parking spaces since there are 2 of us?

Gracias!

i'm not entirely sure of the move-in specials; we got one for signing a 13 month lease (market rent for ours, a 2 bedroom, is $1895/month, got it for $1505/month). So, be sure to ask - most of time, apartments always have some sort of a special.

you'll get 2 spots. one bedrooms have a maximum of 2 occupants so you'll both get a smart-card thingy. it is like a car alarm thing for your keychain. it opens the parking garage gates and opens the doors to the buildings (this place has excellent security). the garage is also unassigned parking - we never have problems finding a spot, as there are two levels for each building.

ask for gwen in the leasing office, she's super nice. be sure to tell her i refered you ;) (they have referal incentives for residents).

good luck with the hunt, hopefully you'll become one of my new neighbors :)
