A YEAR IN REVIEW: Part 9
2010
JANUARY
Year started out okay (+1). I went completely platinum blonde (+1) that I freakin’ loved (+2). Family got Swine Flu (-2), but not me (+1). I also got an AD position with Rising Sun’s production of The Last Supper (+3). SO I spent half of January in rehearsals (0) and the other half in school (0). Stiletto died (-1). Got approached by a producer in B&N (+4) but nothing happened (-2). Awesome friends get together (+3) that was supposed to happen every month (+1) but never did (-1). As usual, nothing life changing or exciting happened in January (0).

FEBRUARY
Worst month of my life. (-300) from my life total, (-30) for 2010.

MARCH
Was going to be better (+1). In school styling competition was fun (+3). IBS was awesome (+1). Dated someone who went missing for a day (-2), but was fun at the time (+4)! LOL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FPxlyLHu6c (+3). Emerged back into having a social life a little bit (+1). The RSP Speakeasy was a blast (+1).

APRIL
Got hired at Arrojo Studio!! (+8) Graduated Cosmo school (+5)!! Had a three week vacation (+3) and spent the second week in the theater (0). I spent so much time in tech I was mistaking food in my fridge for props (0). The Last Supper turned out great (+2) and it was fun to have it finally on it’s feet (+1). Got my palm read by crazy psychic lady (+2) and none of it came true (-1). Some crazy guy talked about the apocalypse and chewed on a quarter (-!?). Alex/Akia’s Bday was super fun(+1). Apparently this was a “Bermuda Triangle Month” (-1/+1??).

MAY
Started at Arrrojo (+8) and had to adjust to the workload and modelload (0). Went on some random deadend dates (0). Drunkenly status’d “intgry” instead of “integrity” (-1) right before I made out with a stranger (+2). Paulo came(+1)!! It only rained when I was off (-1). Chipotle love (0). Barcade adventures was fun (+2). The Lost finale totally sucked (0). There were ducks on my lawn all the time (0). My uncle made breakfast pizza on the grill (+3). Dennis’ b-day was a MUSS (+1).. So much fun (+3).

JUNE
Always had a margarita (+1)_ wanted it to eventually taste like Summer 2010 (0) and it totally worked (+1). Bacon salad(+1)!!! Went to Benny’s quite a few times (+1) until That Night (+2) and we’ll never be back (0). Got too drunk to go to pride this year (0). Uhm no one got this for my bday : http://blogs.houstonpress.com/rocks/2010/06/17/ladygaggag.jpg (0). Crisis bday in BK was in true Scarlet fashion (+2) meaning someone threw up.. and this time it wasn’t me (+1).

JULY
NTP: Nap Tan Pooliside (+1) best describes my fourth of July (+3). It went up to 104 degrees (-1), does anyone else remember this?? "There's only one person in this world that I love just as much as myself and that is lady gaga" - me (+1). Casey got to see Gaga kick ass in the rain (+2) and I didn’t (-1). But we saw her in MSG (+5) for $250 (-1)… and had more fun for $20 before she was fam (-1). Went out until 4am, worked at 9am and repeated three days in a row for the first time since college (+3). Oh, made out with a new person each night, too… (0). “Fame is Novelty” is one of the quotes of the year, thanks Steve Kraatz (+2). Corn grew in my backyard (..+1?).

AUGUST
WAS TOTALLY ADDICTED TO TWLIGHT (+4). Like, I almost got hit by cabs because I was reading and walking (-1, what a nerd). The movie brought the LOLZ (+1). Was cursed out by the RSP intern (-3) so I quit (+1). Missed everyone (-1) but sooo wasn’t going back (0). Planned trip to Aruba! (+4) . Went on nice fondue dinner with Dan & new friend Bridger which was fun (+1). Gloria had a small gathering for her going away which was really nice (+1).

SEPTEMBER
Had a surprise party for Lauren which was sooo fun and surprising!!(+3). Started on highlights! Yea!(+1) The guy from LFO died (-1) and suddenly everyone cared about LFO (0). Gaga had a meat dress (0). Found out Krisy Kreme was closed (-3) and was real sad cos I love Krispy Kreme (-1). Tornado in BK!!!(0)

OCTOBER
Was off to a good start (+1). Started to plan my birthday (0). Bad dates (-1) spiraling to a not bad blog (+2). Got spontaneously drunk on a Wednesday with ayana (+3) there were all these grenades (-1). Halloween was fun with Al, Case and Lauren (+4). Hancock was the highlight (+3). Poor Tom x10 (-1).

NOVEMBER
November started out really really nice (+3). Pumpkin picking with da fam (+1). Had the most fun I’ve ever had at McDonalds (+1). Blog was off to a kick ass start (+1). Cleansed myself of past bullshit (+3). Underground was a blast (+3). Birthday party was a blast (+3). Bank account was negative 300 (-2). Birthday itself was O.K. (0). The Hunger Games were AMAZING (+3).

DECEMBER
Joined OkCupid (0). Saturdays at work were CRAZAY (0). Was pretty much a homebody all this month (+3). Christmas party was a blast (+3) but the hangover was NOT (-1). Ginger snaps came back (+2). Hurt my neck to the point of waking up crying somehow (-1). Christmas fucking rocked (+2).

Makes sense… In short, 2010 was quite the big year. A lot of things exploded and fell into place. I also burned many MANY bridges with my past, all in efforts to move forward. 2011 is the first year in a few that I don’t plan on switching jobs or schools. I have the year pretty much set up for me and I love it. I took a break from theater at the end of the year and this year I need to get back into it. Here are some of my resolutions:
- No meat (accidentally had bacon for breakfast :/)
- Don’t treat guys like shit
- Get back in theater
