I am thankful:
- For my parents and their endless willingness to accept my decisions and usually help finance them, even when that decision is to end an earlier decision (such as quitting in England) or when that decision is to remake an earlier failed decision with a few modifications (such as studying abroad in Europe again).
- For everyone who looked out for me in Europe, like Kristi's parents and the Stillers and Vivi.
- That, while I have changed my mind about my plans a million times this year, I now have several fully-considered plans for my future.
- That I was able to learn who my friends are and how to discern people I like to spend time with (even if they live far away) from people I've taken to be my only options (because they are near and fit snugly in a circle with members of the first category).
- For a new president.
- For one of my professors and the subject he teaches and the clothes he wears and the jokes he makes and the laughs he favors my jokes with and the fact that he cried during a lecture once and that he uses Garamond for anything he types and that I will hopefully take another class from him in the spring.
- Für Wien.
