Stupid shoulder, part 206

Apr 16, 2010 16:03

So my physical therapist told me that he thinks I have a mild impingement happening in my shoulder, which is why it's a problem at all with my repeated movements at work, as opposed to like... everyone else I work with. http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00032

This makes sense. I have many times wondered why on earth working retail bothers ME and everyone else, including old ladies, can do it. And it's probably because my stupid shoulder bone sticks out a bit too far and pinches my rotator cuff tendon. HOW STUPID. Also, I just wrote "punches." hahahah

ANYWAY, he told me that we're gonna have to increase my strength so that it could stand up to the movements I put on it and doesn't get hurt as easily. But he said that even if I get it completely fixed, then stop doing exercises for it, and continue to do the same movements... he'll probably end up seeing me again. And that I have to increase my strength more than if I just had a desk job or something, because of the demands I put on it at Target.

PROOF THAT I NEED A NEW JOB. Good lord. Stupid shoulder.

On a way more frivolous note, my paid account expired, and the icons I have left to choose from rarely describe my mood anymore!

health, injuries, shoulder, work, target
