Sunday afternoon I saw Forever Tango.. very good, incredible dancing, etc. Had 4 accordions, although apparently they're also called bandoneons. Or so they're called in the program. Then tonight I saw a great play at the Tarragon theatre, called The Great Mischief, which also had an accordion in it. They're making their comeback! The play was based on a book of the same name (which is apparently phenomenal) by Allistair So and So, who I met at the reception before the play, and who is a superb asshole. So I'm torn - I want to read the book, but I don't want to support him whatsoever. He did what is possibly the most annoying thing you can do when you meet someone - he shook my hand (and my mom's) while he looked right over our shoulders at something else.. and then failed completely to make any eye contact, while darting his sketchy eyes all over the room - seemingly looking for someone better to talk to. I watched him after he sauntered away.. he did it to everyone! R-U-D-E. But the play was great.
Never got that job i was excited and hopeful about.. was upset for 5 minutes until Dave talked me out of letting it ruin my friday night. She emailed me 1.5 weeks ago on the friday and let me know that "the successful candidates had stronger computer backgrounds"
damn. I should have told her i have a livejournal. That would have surely impressed her.
Did well on my tests.. which is relieving. It's also nice, to for once, feel like mid 80s is good enough.. I dont HAVE to get 90's. Although I would like them, I dont have to compete anymore. No pressure (except that whole under-70%-is-a-fail thing they have going on.. but still) Although I guess technically I should be aiming for 100% since I'll actually be DOING this stuff.. so i should know it.. so i don't screw up my future patients... but that's just a small kink which I can work out later.. after I watch My So Called Life! i'm 6 minutes late for that.. bye.
