life fits together so much better when you understand the things around you, and i suppose now ive got a greater understanding of the phraise "knowledge is power." our whole lives were taught to be pawns- were bread, not only employees for a job, but employees for the government and all other institutions which collect money from us. the sad ( Read more... )

"poor people are poor because they are doing things wrong. its their fault they are poor, (weather they be dumb, fininacialy illeterate, addicted to something, or just afraid of risks)"

In India they have this thing called a caste system. This system is a traditional fixed class system, meaning you can't go up or down in class, you are just born into one. For anyone who decides they are too good for their class standards, there is a class below zero, making someone subhuman. They are the untouchables. They can't wear shoes when they cross the path of anyone in a higher class than them (hich is everyone in India save for about 20 million or so other untouchables). They can't drink water from clean wells. They have government appointed jobs such as cleaning out public restrooms with their bare hands (there aren't toilets, if you're wondering), sweeping the streets with brooms, and collecting garbage by hand. Their children are also untouchables. They get no medical treatment because doctors are of a higher class and cannot touch them. These people aren't allowed in temples and even their shadows cannot touch the walls of temples. People spit on and hit them with sticks and rocks when they walk by. I know this is only relevant to one country, but it does have the second largest population on the planet and the point is that sometimes you can't do a god damn thing about being poor.

cattle? hahah

your right, with your devine view on economics and business managment, you oughta drop out right now and fire a business up. lets make it happen, lets see which one of ours goes public first.

davis, who gives a damn about india? i dont want to go there, i dont have friends of family there, i dont plan on doing business there, i dont care about their country, relegion, shitty subhuman animal people, or anything. if india fell off the face of the earth tomorow, i wouldent lose any sleep- but good point. obviously both you and nick are strong liberals, and ovbiously an argument between us will go nowhere, because ovbiously, myself, and the majority of americans, are right and you are wrong.

im sure u guys think the same thing, so u go aheand and demand successfull peopl support lazy poor people, an ill keep more of what i earn.

long live kerry! second place loser.

The idea that human life has value isn't really a newfangled liberal idea. Nor am I a "strong" liberal.

In fact, reading this entire thing over again, you're coming off like a borderline idiot, so for the sake of ceasing all hostilities, I'm going to start over and pretend like your post was about kittens.

Hay Steve, long time no see! Cool post, I like Kittens too.

You didn't happen to be drunk while writing that, did you? I don't see what I said had to do with economics or bussiness management or you and I running competing bussinesses or Kerry, who I think was a complete deuchebag. I was simply wondering what you had to say about people that had absolutely no say in whether they were successful or not, and here it is. Next time perhaps clarify that the only thing your livejournal posts will have to do with is America the Great (Even the ones about Germany and Spain, because, honestly, who gives a fuck? They're filled with liberal cunts too, eh?). And about that bussiness about poor lazy people... I'm just not even going to bother right now.
