[11-12 had wanted to have a good talk with Rufus Shinra for quite some time now. He could see the way Reeve and he spoke to each other and how Reeve reacted and 11-12 didn't like it. He didn't quite understand what was between them but he didn't think it was anything good

[It's not at all strange for people to come into ShinRa and come to look for him. For some odd reason, ever since ShinRa collapsed, the general population thought that they could wander into his building and ask for him like a common civic servant. So, when he gotten word that that a young blonde boy was looking for him, he automatically disregarded it. Unluckily for him, a younger administrative assistant would have suggested going to the executive floor.]

[He thanked the assistant and headed to the executive floor, asking around and knocking on doors until he found the right one.]

Enter. [He said it out a force of habit. If it really came down to it, he would go down there and fire that receptionist right there and then. However, people wanting to work for ShinRa were not flocking to him and he had to deal with it.]

[Entering the room, 11-12 glanced around until his eyes settled on Rufus.]

.... Hello.

[He doesn't spare 11-12 a second glance. Always behind that huge desk of his, he raises a hand to offer him a seat.]

What do I owe the pleasure?

[He sits on the edge of the offered chair, looking a little agitated before he speaks.]

I want to know some things. Like.. what's your connection to Reeve? Why is there so much... animosity between you?

Oh, so you're here to waste my time.

[He still doesn't look up from his work, thanks to Reeve he has far too much of it to go through and his time is even more precious.]

To be frank, it's none of your business.

[He sounds more determined next.]

I'm sorry but it is my business. Reeve is very important to me.

[Unfortunately for 11-12, Rufus mastered the art of being flippant to the point where even when he's irritated, he sounds nonchalant.]

Then ask him, sadly I have better things to do with my time than to placate the young - [then he looks up, his hand making a half-hearted motion towards the young boy as if he can't bother to find words to describe the other person.] - whatever you are to him.

[11-12 says before thinking about his words, but then he goes on after a brief pause.]

And I don't just want a history lesson. I wanted to speak with you in person because you're obviously... something of a problem.

[Rufus takes that pause a chance for him to get back to work, annoyed that Reeve didn't bother to educate his boyfriend before he marched down here.]

As flattering as that is, choose your words more carefully before calling people "problems".

You're just so abrasive. Just tell me what you have against Reeve and I'll go.

[Rufus finally looked up from his paperwork with a bemused expression.]

Me? Abrasive? You are new to Gaia, aren't you?

[He's defensive now, tensing.]

I've been here over a month. Why? Is there something I should know?

[Oh, now it was getting interesting. Rufus put down the pen before leaning on his desk, that look like he caught some prey plastered on his face.]

I think you need to go ask Reeve some questions before you march down here as if you know everything.

I know about his past.

[11-12 frowns. He does know some of it, but Rufus hadn't been mentioned much so he doesn't understand where he fits in. Which is why he is here.]
