Japan trip vol.1
Finally I wrote something.My first version of this report was much more interesting,but I deleted it by accident! TT____TT GOMEEEEEN~
But I decided to write about my trip in small parts and everytime I'll be dicsudding different things I liked and disliked in Japan. ^^
Well,I loved Japan,but to be honest there were a couple of minuses.Just tiny ones,but still. ^^
On Sunday 6.7.2008 I woke up early,cause I just couldn't sleep!It's good if I slept for an hour at least. ^^ So at 6:30 my mom and grandma woke up too and after getting ourselves ready,we lest the hotel for the railway station,cause there we could take a bus to the airport.It was undescribable the feeling I had all the time.That trip was going to be my first trip abroad.I mean,I was in Russia and Sweden before,but I've never traveled so far.And this time I was going alone.I wasn't scared or anything,prolly just excited.C'mon it's Japan. xD
So at about 8:00 we were in the airport and yay for me my first words were like "OMG,Uruha was here last year!" *happy smile*. My mom and granny were all like -___-''.
Since we came too early we had some coffee in the airport cafe,but I was staring at the flight attendants,cause I just love their uniforms,my mom was almost crying and my granny was trying to speak sense to mom. xD
At 9:00 I saw one of the STS leaders in yellow shirt and I went to ask her about leaving time and stuff.It was Matleena,the leader of my group.She was really nice and explained what I should do next and my mom relaxed a bit when she met Matleena.I was the first person to come. ^^ lol Then after a while other people started to arrive,but since I didn't know anyone I was just sitting there sending SMS to Rita. ^^
At 11am we were in the plane heading to London.Actually we were supposed to go by Lufthansa to Frankfurt and then to Osaka,but then that flight was cancelled,so we flew to London by FinnAir and then to Osaka by Japan Air Lines.OMG,JAL was AWESOME!If you haven't used that company you really should!It's freaking perfect!I guess it's more expensive,but I didn't pay for the tickets myself,so I have no idea.But the service is highclass!And they also have those small TV/Computer screens or something for every passanger,which make flight less boring.I was watching movies and Disney cartoons all the way and also played Battle ships with Alex,who was sitting near me.12 hour flight is tough.My legs and my butt were so sore afterwards..And I just can't sleep in planes.Not because I'm afraid,no I love flying,but I can only sleep when I'm in bed or at least on a couch.Nothing else would do. ^^'' And it's so not fair that I ALWAYS get to sit on the middle seat! >.< I can't even go to WC,if others are sleeping!Not nice~ I also got to know Taru more,cause we talked a lot,when she wasn't sleeping. xP Then later in Fukuoka I spent a lot of time with her. ^^ In FinnAir plane I was sitting with Alex again and with Hanna,who was also a really cool person!We were talking about Miyavi and crazy prices on fanstuff. ^^
So after this tough flight we had to go to Fukuoka by bus and the trip was going to take 9 hours,like I said already...But we stopped every 2,5-3 hours to get something to eat,drink or just visit a restroom.When we got out of the plane all of us were like O.O "It can't be so hot for real!".For us Nordic people the temperature in Japan seemed absolutely terrible!I even wished to go back to Finland at one point,cause I couldn't bear that humidity.I couldn't eat for a week maybe,cause I just can't eat when it's hot. ^^ One person succeeded to amaze me and it was Tomi the second boy in our group.(we only had two ^^) Tomi was wearing a Tshirt,on top of it a cardigan and plus a very long coat and huge boots. ö.ö Noone could understand how he survived alive all the way up to Fukuoka.
Apparently we were very much late when we arrived to Fukuoka,so our hostfamilies didn't want to come and get us.Our busdriver confused something with the map,so we took the wrong way to Fukuoka or something,it wasn'r really explained to us anyway.So there we were,in the center of Fukuoka with no place to go.We were just looking out of the window with my new friends when we spotted our very first ikemen. <3 xD He looked freaking hot and all of us got crazy about him and we started to wave at him,but all he gave us was a pleased smirk. ^^ But it made our night a lot better.
After a while our leaders told us to get out of the bus and to take our luggage with us,cause we were going to spend a night in capsule hotel.So when we were on the street they told us that,no get back in the bus,cause only men are allowed to stay in those hotels.WTF?!I was busy looking around anyway.I saw so many pretty gals and hot guys! <3 Old weirdlooking,but prolly rich men looked at us foreign girls strangely,but I guess it's understandable.What was yacky is that one of those men looked at me from his car and he licked his lips and winked at me!YACK! >.< I practically ran closer to the bus. xD
Then the principal of our language school Evan Kirby appeared from somewhere and he told us that there's this one youth hostel that takes girls in as well as boys,so we went there.Because Evan came to our rescue we started to call him Super Kirby. xD
Then we finally got there and I shared a room with Hanna,which was cool,cause I really enjoyed chatting with her.We also watched Japanese TV together for like 2 hours or so,although we were dead tired. xD We also had to write short messages to our parents,cause cellphones refused to work in Japan.Only Laura's phone was working.Mine should have been working cause it's a 3G phone,but it didn't... >.>
This hard,hard day or actually almost two days were finally over and we went to sleep.Guess what was I dreaming about?Haha!I was doing Reita's laundry! xD Weird~
Fukuoka is a very beautiful place.I guess all cities in Japan are beautiful,but since I only got to live in Fukuoka let me praise it. ^^ I love the fact that in Japan it's always dark after 6PM!In Finland summernights are terrible!I know many people find it beautiful and stuff,but I don't like it when it's so bright at night.I like darkness.Bwuahahha. ^^,
