I read your journal all the time & it always seems like things just aren't going right or are a complete mess. Do you have high school diploma? or a G.E.D? I know a lot of people think joining the military isn't a good idea & you're "supporting the war in iraq" but, that's not true at all. You're just doing your job! & an awesome one it is. Statistically you're more likely to die in a car accident here then in the war in Iraq. Not only will they give you health care, a place to stay rent free the time you're in or a housing allowance to pay your rent. Also, you'll get paid good money & it'll only get better the longer you stay in. Side from that, they'll turn you into a man. They'll teach you to believe in yourself & give you confidence, you'll gain a lot of muscle & come out looking better then you ever have. When my husband was a senior in high school he weighed 115lbs, he was a little mother fucker like you & now he weighs 160lbs. The way the air force helped him has just been insane. He comes from a broken home, he hasn't talked to his family in about six months & plans to never talk to them again. Right now John & i are 19 & 20 making enough money that i don't even work. We're getting ready to move to mountain home, idaho in four months which just so happens to be just another place we've never been. Since he joined we've been from Texas to Missouri & now idaho. It's a really exciting life. Aside from that, you'll meet a really nice girl. With good morals & doing something with her life. I just think all around that joining the military would be the best thing you ever did, whether it's the air force, or the army. I hope you take my advice & at least look into it!! It will literally fix all of your problems.

yeh my dad says the same thing. the only thing is is that i've been to the place & took the asfat (sp?) or somethin to see which branch i could qualify for & i qualified for any branch of the marines i wanted to join. or airforce, navy, or army. yes i have a GED. I was scheduled to go to boot camp but i found out other information they had kept from me, about how for like 10 years afterwards you're pretty much on call n at the drop of a dime you have to go if they say so. but I guess if there's a draft i'd be goin anyways bein i'm a 20 year old boy who's single with no family. I actually know alot of people who went/are still in the army and they tell good & bad things. thanks for the info tho.. I may consider it again if I lose this job I have right now.
