I love my job!
Work is getting better and better for me :)! I love my job not to mention the long hours like today lol. Worked almost 14 hours! I managed the whole Housekeeping department myself (first time doing that alone being on the job 2 weeks), not to mention that I inspected almost all 138 rooms in the hotel. I made the boards, opened and closed the house, did runs, and delegated sucessfully. I am doing great for getting thrown in this role without formal training. My GM said to me today she doesn't know what she would have done without me. I said she would be fine as she looked at me and said no we wouldn't. That means a lot coming from her :).
We also have a new Operations Manager and he's cool and closer to my age. I have a 300 page manual to go over with my GM also. It was a gift from White Lodging and I got my business cards today and my benefits atrt tomorrow (401K, paid vacation, and tuition reimbursement 1 yr)!!! YEA YEA!!!! Well I'm going to bed now bye bye social life :(.
