2nd Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon: The ABCs of Crime
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!
The Ficathon is a celebration of the return of Numb3rs and has purposely been timed to take place over hiatus so that a) we all have a reason to live until the new season starts *g*, and b) the posting of the fic will coincide (for the most part, anyway) with the premiere of the third season. Your hosts are audrarose, sori1773, and spikedluv.
The theme for our 2nd Ficathon is ‘The ABCs of Crime’. We stole the idea from Sue Grafton’s ABC mystery series, which includes such titles as A is for Alibi and B is for Burglar. The idea is that you’re going to pick a letter and we’re going to assign you a prompt to write for that letter. We promise not to make them too difficult. *weg*
Rules:
Please note that, even though we’re assigning prompts based on criminal and legal terms, your fic does not have to be crime- or case-related, you may twist the prompt any way you’d like. The only requirement is that your fic must be titled, should your prompt be ‘A’ for example, A is for Arrest.
You may write any slash pairing (ETA: I should have made this clear earlier, but both m/m and f/f slash are allowed.), any rating, any genre. There is no maximum word length, but stories should be at least 1000 words. (That’s only about 3 pages, folks!)
Please note that you do not need to have a LiveJournal account to participate in the Ficathon.

As each letter is chosen, we will mark the name of the author beside it. Please do your best to make sure that the letter you select has not already been claimed, as we’d like to make sure the entire alphabet (A - W) is taken before a letter is claimed twice. Once all the letters have been claimed (best case scenario *g*), we’ll open another list.
Prompts will not be mailed. The entire list of prompts will be posted here at numb3rsficathon. It will be announced everywhere we announced the Ficathon, but if you want to make sure you get it on your f-list, please friend us!
Dates:
1. Sign-ups will be open from Wednesday, July 5th through Wednesday, July 26th.
2. Prompts will be posted here at numb3rsficathon on or before Saturday, July 29th.
3. Stories will be due on Friday, September 29th, which gives you two months to write! (Please don’t post your stories before then. On the 29th, I’ll create a master list and ask you to provide links in the comments.)
The most important thing is, have fun! *g*
Warning: Here there be incest. Some people will choose to write the Don/Charlie pairing. You need not be concerned that you will stumble upon it by mistake, as all pairings will be listed on the master list when it’s posted. If you do not wish to read this pairing, then you can skip it.
