4th Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon: Numb3rs Gets Clued In
Welcome to the 4th Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!
The Ficathon is a celebration of the return of Numb3rs and has purposely been timed to take place over hiatus so that a) we all have a reason to live until the new season starts *g*, and b) the posting of the fic will coincide (for the most part, anyway) with the premiere of the fifth season.
This year’s theme, Numb3rs Gets Clued In, is based very loosely on the game Clue. How loosely, you ask? Well, we’re going to assign you a prompt consisting of a person, place and thing, and you have to use those three items in your fic. However, how you use your assigned prompt is up to you. They can form the basis of your entire fic, merely be mentioned in passing, or be alluded to only indirectly; you may twist the prompt however you like.
To make things even more interesting, the “person” will be one of the guest characters (excluding the oft-writ Coop and Edgerton), we’ve met on the series.
Rules:
Please note that, even though prompts will be assigned in a format based on the game Clue, you are not expected to write a ‘Colonel Mustard in the kitchen with the candlestick holder’ type of fic. Unless that’s what you want to write. *g* Remember, how you use the prompt is entirely up to you, and you may twist it however you like.
You may write any slash pairing (that includes both m/m and f/f slash), any rating, any genre. There is no maximum word length, but stories should be at least 1000 words. (That’s only about 3 pages, folks!)

1. Sign-ups will remain open for two weeks, from Friday, July 18th through Thursday, July 31st.
2. Prompts will be posted here at numb3rsficathon on or before Sunday, August 3rd.
3. You will have 8 weeks to write; stories will be due between Monday, September 29th and Sunday, October 5th. (Please don’t post your stories before then. On the 29th, I’ll create a master list and ask you to provide links in the comments.)
The most important thing is, have fun! *g*
Warning: Here there be incest. Some people will choose to write the Don/Charlie pairing. You need not be concerned that you will stumble upon it by mistake, as all pairings will be listed on the master list when it’s posted. If you do not wish to read this pairing, then you can skip it.
