"I'm impressed." Charlie was all smiles.

Amita smiled back as she finished framing her diploma. "Thank you, but why are you impressed with my one little doctorate when you've received three?"

"It's not a competition! Besides, you passed the citizenship test the same week you defended your thesis. That takes a broad range of knowledge."

"This isn't a competition!" Amita teased.

Charlie laughed. "So, what’s next?"

"I was planning on studying literature."

"Oh." Not the answer he expected. "At the university?"

"No, just for fun."

"What book were you planning to start with?"

"The Kama Sutra."

"There are others looking for this comet," Professor Conrad Parker explained. "I've calculated the approximate quadrant to search, but I got a late start and my program isn't finished."

Parker blushed. "I'm not trying to take advantage…

Amita raised a skeptical eyebrow.

“Well…” Parker winced. “Okay, maybe I am. It’s just that I’m up against it and Charlie is…"

"A self-programming scientific calculator?" Charlie asked, amused.

"Oh, you heard me say that," Parker said in a deflated voice.

Charlie laughed and picked up Parker's notes. "Let's do some stargazing."

Working together, they discovered Comet Parker-Eppes.
