All I can really say about this episode is how fun to have a Larry-centric episode... seeing a darker side to his genius. Loved the interaction of Larry and Amita and Charlie in the casino. Loved when Charlie seemingly started to get bored. It was just fun to watch that.

I also loved the interaction of Larry and Megan as always.

And then of course we have Colby in the strip club. Pig. I love him, but he's a pig. LOL.

The way her face lights up when Larry walks in. <3333333

You know, given the raw romantic hand the poor guy was given on the show, I can't say that I begrudge him enjoying the strip club. ;-)

OK. But he is the lovely, adorable, hot, etc, pig ever! isn't he?

This is one of the few episodes I'm not really comfortable with.

It's weird, because I generally have a pretty deep addiction kink (in fiction, LOL), but the way Charlie treats Larry's gambling addiction always bothered me in this ep. Charlie starts off blaming himself for the murder because of a class he taught, but then when it comes to Larry's very serious struggle with the gambling (I mean, he even defines it as "narcotic"), Charlie and Amita have no problem pushing him into it. That scene just had a big ick factor for me.

I feel like I should add the disclaimer that I'm not entirely sure why I have this reaction. I know it's IC for Charlie to overlook something like that in the course of finding answers.

While I enjoyed the Larry, Charlie, Amita casino bit... I also have to choose to ignore the fact they forced Larry to do something he didn't want to again. And Larry was so serious the whole time. So yeah... I get your ick factor for sure.

Larry's centric episode. Cards and Math are prefect together. Peter MacNicol rocks.
A few questions about Larry storyline. So he was a mathematician before? If he didn't like poker in this episode, how it evolved to '3x16 Contenders' where Charlie had to defend his title at the poker tournament while Larry was in the space?

The thing I loved the most, the team together in many scenes! :)

Regarding Larry's storyline... I think it wasn't that Larry didn't like Poker. (He was also playing at the Eppes house in 5.19 Animal Rites) I think it was that he didn't like casinos and gambling in general. And the poker tournament he was in wasn't for money necessarily, it was just to keep that one professor from winning. haha.

Wonderful Peter McNicol gets a episoe with some fascinating backstory on Larry. I love that everyone is quite shocked that he was once a "blackjack stud"

The infamous mentos and soda experiment! Or, in more serious terms, math and molecules, an introduction to fluid dynamics. Charlie does enjoy his work--he gets such glee making things explode. Don looks quite dubious that they actually get paid to do this kind of thing.

In one of the outdoor on the FBI walkways scenes, Charlie is rocking some really long sideburns and wind-blown curls instead of his usual ringlets. His hair looks different in every episode, sometimes in every scene. Must have been difficult to keep that hair under control.

Alan and Charlie in Texas hold'em--whadda ya say we bet the house. Oh, Charlie's eyes go wide.
