This is the general discussion post for 2.08 In Plain Sight (or as I like the call it, the chocolate covered Colby episode. What? He wears chocolate brown a lot during this one.) Please conduct all general discussion here by posting your own comments and replying to others ( Read more... )

My dears, I'm sorry I'm late. It was a difficult episode for me. I am a big sister too, so I've been in conflicts like this.
I get Charlie. He was always protected and shielded in his own world. When Megan said "I don't know what I would've done, or what Don would've done" I understood him. Don is the person who Charlie admires the most. He always wanted to impress his big brother, to be like him. And in his mind the one chance he had... he blew it. Doesn't matter what Don or the FBI did, or if Lib is safe now. Jessica wasn't. That's the guilt Charlie is feeling and no one can do anything about it. Charlie cannot forgive himself. And he ended up attacking the one he loves.
But I'm Don's... irrevocably. He always has to understand and look after Charlie. But who takes care of him? Not fair at all. Gotta love to him for this too, as if I need more reasons... ;)

That's why my review is huge... Almost 400 caps. And with DVD commentaries by Diane Farr, David Krumholtz and director J. Miller. At ym4yum1, http://ym4yum1.livejournal.com/24094.html

Diane Farr: "Little notice about Rob Morrow, whenever we are on the field and doing something he's chewing gun." Don talking with his hands! Mentor Don. "You don't have anything to prove around here. You know that, right?" Hero Don. He's the one to go, without gear, to save the woman. "Hey, sweetheart." She was speechless. I would too. Totally hot!
This is a plot that makes senses so no problem with Megan a lot. David and Colby have their parts.
Sarcastic Colby: "Tiny's not able to hear you right now." Handsome and sweet Colby cause now involves family "Tiny was his brother."
David is Don's right hand, the one who knows him better. "David, you're with me. Follow my lead." He's so like Don "Hey, lower your weapons."
Larry "But I think if you examine it closely, you'll find, as I have, that the Y is really just an X with a piece missing." I say this to my students all the time! LOL!
"Smurf suits! Papa Smurf, mama Smurf."
Krumy "It shows a great deal of understanding on the part of the character Don, because he's, you know, he knows too much Charlie."
Where's Amita when they need her computer's skills?
Don says to Charlie "You should go home, too." when he should've said "you never talk to me like this again, in my office, in front of my team."
Director J. Miller about the conflict "It's a nice dynamic too because it becomes personal for Charlie. Don wants to keep it professional, but because they are brothers they end up going into, you know, the brothers' zone." At the end "I like the separation. Everybody else feels, you know, job well done, we got the bad guy, and Charlie is not over yet."

I hope you enjoy! :)
