I have two words for you: Woobie!Don

I have to say, the first time around I didn't pick up on the little clues about the fact that Nicky Davis is ATF - her badge and the jacket.

I love gun range!Don - so hot! And him making out with Robin is just delicious... Of course, on the commentary, RM acts all innocent about it, saying he's married and can't comment on whether he liked it or not *g* He does mention about Michelle Nolden having played his wife on Street Time.

I like that Megan tells Charlie to look after Don and that she's number 2 on his Nextel. I presume Charlies is number 1 *g*

Nice reference back to S1's Structural Corruption and the death of Finn Montgomery.

I like the care and concern that both David and Megan show for Don throughout this episode and even Robin as well, whom I actually like - unlike Nadine!

In the scene where David, Larry and Charlie are reconstructing the shooting, PM is wearing his wedding ring. And in the second scene with Alan and Don at the house, RM is wearing his earrings. RM mentions on the commentary that he got teased a lot on Northern Exposure that he'd left the earrings in, when he hadn't *g*

Why did Charlie need the DNA model?? I liked him lying on the floor in his office and Amita asking if she was interrupting something. And I thought her conversation with Charlie about Don was actually pretty good. She's quite insightful and I like her saying that Charlie has made Don's work his life, in addition to his own - which is very true!

I love how worried Charlie is for Don throughout this - coming to check up on him and getting excited when he has ways to help. It's like he's trying to be the strong one for a change. And I just adore that he ran his model on Don's life and Alan saying he's worse than Alan in worrying about Don ♥

The scene at the informant's house is good, particularly the last shot, in the empty pool. Interesting angle and lighting. Apparently it was at the end of the day...

And hot SWAT!Don ♥ when he tackles the biker guy, who was apparently built like the proverbial brick outhouse and pretty hard to knock to the floor! I like David tasering the other guy, instead of shooting him...

Interesting that in the shoot-out (which is muy caliente, btw!) all you hear is the shots. No incidental music, nothing. Very powerful. And on the commentary, RM says that they got through loads of ammo filming that shoot-out because they'd empty their clips every take, regardless. Boys and their toys *g* I liked seeing Don duck into the van and that we see him reload twice - which they added for realism. And the shooting the guy's ankles under the cars was way cool! Definite echoes of UP in this scene, I thought...

I like that Charlie asks what sort of pizza it is and that Alan's answer tells him that Don isn't coming over. And Charlie wondering where Don is, when his cell phone is turned off. You can just bet that Charlie hates not knowing!

Another interesting point from the commentary, that DK apparently hates having to eat on set during filming, though I forget why (I'm not listening to the commentaries again on rewatching) and RM comments on how they usually end up filming those sorts of scenes early in the morning, so they'd be having pizza at 7am or something! (Which may be fine if you're a student, but otherwise is pretty icky, IMO!)

And just have to add that the first scene with Don and Alan at the house, just makes me tear up every time. Especially when Don whispers that Nicky had cancer and when he and Alan discuss whether he and Margaret ever talked about suicide. That is just so poignant. I love Alan sledgehammering the point that Don has nothing to feel guilty about and Don quickly decides he needs to leave. He wants a certain amount of comfort from his dad, but he doesn't want to be exonerated.
