2.18 All’s Fair

Otherwise known as "The Susan Episode". Hmm.

This episode will always annoy me simply for the fact that they expect us to believe that Charlie, who at 30 is not very girl-savvy, not only had a relationship with a woman when he was approximately 19, but lived with her for two years. Does. Not. Compute. And frankly, it annoys me a little bit that she gets it on with Charlie without telling him that she’s already seeing someone. Until he suggests that he take Cambridge up on their standing offer to lecture. Of course he says it’s okay and he understands. What else is he supposed to say?

On the other hand, this is just one of the reasons that I think Charlie isn’t serious about Amita. I mean, granted, she did the whole, I’m not ready to see anyone, spiel, but he didn’t even consider her when Susan was there, which is pretty big, imo.

And, since when does Charlie cook? As recently as season 3 he burnt the, what, ribs? on the grill because he was distracted.

And Larry’s never met Susan, but both Alan and Don have?

Charlie emphasizing to Susan that he owns the house and saying that he can’t kick Alan out. Remind me again, who was the one who said Alan could stay there?

Now that that’s out of the way, lets hit the things I did like about this ep, yeah? ‘Cause there were a few. *g*

Charlie trying to help his father figure out the puzzle by using a solution program, and his contention that, Using the solution program is relaxing for some people., which is reminiscent of his comment in 2.03 Obsession, when Don says that hockey is more than stats, But stats are fun for, for me.

Alan calling Larry ‘Rainman’.

Colby demonstrating on Larry how the man killed Saida. (Spelled right?)

Larry in the hot tub and Eureka! *g*

Alan making nachos! Don coming over to watch the hockey game! Don thinking Charlie is the prettiest one in bed. *vbg* Charlie’s, Aww, woe is, woe is Don.
