Hi everyone! I hope everybody is doing well. I was asked if we were having the fic exchange this year.
If there is interest I will gladly set up the dates and open for business. I put a small poll together to gauge interest.

I am undecided about participating this time around. I would hope for some sort of assurance that things would not be so delayed as they were for the 2013 fics. I know real life takes precedence over fic, of course it must, and I'm not trying to point any fingers or lay blame, as it seemed that a lot of RLs snowballed all at the same time. But for those of us who did manage to write a fic, it is quite disheartening to go months past the deadline before they even start being posted and months after that for the last one to be posted. On top of which, they are all still anonymous now, nine months after they were supposed to have their authors revealed and be available for more general fic posting. I didn't even receive a fic and the one I wrote doesn't seem to have been seen by the recipient (unless they just didn't like it enough to comment, which is another matter, though con-crit would be helpful in that case). I set aside other non-deadline fics I was working on to write for this exchange and I would be reluctant to set aside another fic this time around if the 2014 schedule is at risk of similar delays.

Again, I don't want to point fingers, or hurt any feelings, but I felt I had to say it to highlight the issues and, hopefully, allow people to think up ways of avoiding the same happening again. There are so few Numb3rs fics being written now and it would be a shame for people to drift away from this exchange if there are ways to keep to the deadlines and keep momentum and interest going.
