Most of the time the answer they get is yes, but sometimes they go down in a ball of flame. It must be hard to get up the nerve when the two outcomes are fiancée (or fiancé) and fireball. ;-)

Bring back Kim Hall to give Robin a fight for her man or go back in time to when Don and Kim were making plans of their own. Throw an engagement party for your favorite Eppes brother - with his canon lady-love, or pair him up with someone TPTB never imagined. (Don and Tim! Don and Amita!) Put a rock from Ian on Nikki's finger, have David and Liz announce their secret relationship has gone serious or use the wayback machine to give us Margaret buzzing with excitement at Alan's proposal. Have Colby's ex-fiancée show up at an Idaho reunion with his new belle or beau or have Susan Berry show up to rock Charlie's stable world after she dumps her own fiancé. Follow the woman - that's how Billy finds his fugitives, so put him and Don on the trail of a murderer with killer taste in women hunting the fiancée who turned him in.
