Work is much the same as ever. I've been working there more than I care for, even though I hear hours have been cut drastically. Hasn't seemed to affect me much.
The past few days have been full of moments though. A couple bad, but mostly good. I got my electric guitar out and replaced the batteries in the effects pedals, which felt wonderful. Wrote a little song whose lyrics had the effect that I secretly hoped for in the receiver. (Or was it the existence of the song alone that they liked? I'm happy either way!) The picture below was a diverting little piece of fun.
I also just finished reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven tonight. I've decided to make it my duty to know the current bestselling books, and this one was near the top. It made me think a lot more about death and life and the lessons that we learn after time. Tonight, I particularly thought of the way my life has been intertwined with others. Some people seem to touch me only slightly and others will affect me deeply the instant we meet. I love realizing that I know one of the latter.
