So: I'm bored at work and I felt like posting a bit of the Mass Effect D20 future conversion that I've been working on.
Here's my personal favorite: The Turians. (Holy shit my geekiness just jumped up about 10 points).
Bonus' and Feats:
Stats: +2 Dex, +2 Int, -2 wisdom, -2 strength: Turians exhibit the characteristics of predators rather than those of prey species. Their forward-facing alert eyes give the impression that they possess outstanding eyesight and their teeth and jaws mimic the structures possessed by apex predators such as crocodiles or ancient, carnivorous dinosaurs. Needless to say, their talons on both their feet and hands seem capable of ripping flesh. Their slender bodies also seem to suggest that they are also capable of moving at high speeds.
Skills:
Exoskeleton:
The turian homeworld, Palaven, has a metal-poor core, generating a weak magnetic field and allowing more solar radiation into the atmosphere. To deal with this, most forms of life on Palaven evolved some form of metallic 'exoskeleton' to protect themselves. Their reflective plate-like skin makes turians less susceptible to long-term, low-level radiation exposure, but they do not possess any sort of 'natural armor'.
Military mind:
Turian military training is exalted among almost all council races. Their depth of training in their chosen field is unequaled except by that of quarian scientists.
Pick one from this list, it automatically becomes a class skill: Diplomacy, Demolitions, Intimidate, Investigate, Pilot, Survival. In the event that all skills are considered class skills, add +4 to one skill from this list..+4 to fort saves against Radiation.
FEATS:
Military man:
"You do realise this plan has me walking into hell as well? Heh, just like old times... "
Prerequisites:
Character Archetype: Fast Hero, Tough Hero.
This feat must be selected at first level.
1. Each level you take of either Fast Hero or Tough Hero grants you an additional +1 to your hp. This effect stacks only with levels of Fast and Tough hero.
2. Starting at fifth level, Every 5 levels you take of fast or tough hero grants you an additional +1 to your saving throws.
3. Starting at 4th level Every 4 levels you take of either fast or tough hero grants you an additional +1 to your attack rolls.
Through years of enlisted service, you have become intimately familiar with the ins and outs of combat. This has hardened your mind, improved your sight, and allows you to gain insight that even the greatest turian generals would envy. Your keen insight will develop with time, provided you live long enough.
