This is about the last thing I'm going to be doing for the next couple months.
Plane tickets to Israel are expensive!
Anyway, Democrats everywhere.
Well, good job, the people have spoken.
Then again, the people are kinda dumb.
What did they achieve?
Well, let's think for a second...
Democrat control of the house and senate, but only because of the independents.
So, basically, nothing will get done, and nothing will change.
If anything particularly democratic gets across Bush's desk, he'll just veto it, and having 51% doesn't get you the 66% you need to overturn a veto.
Nothing will get done.
The country won't suddenly start getting better. It's wintertime, for pete's sake. You expect the sun to start shining, just because there's democrats?
*looks out window* Nevermind. The point is, if anything, the next two years will cause people to think, "Eh, we gave those democrats a chance, and they didn't do anything, so now we're voting for republicans again" and in the next election, it'll be right back the way it was.
Because nothing is going to change.
The only way things will change is if you have the president agreeing with the house and senate, but with both parties liking Rudy and not Hillary, eh, don't run out in the streets thanking bob that the dems are in charge.
Because it's not the bobsend you think it is.
Because nothing will change.
