ALSOALSOALSO have a secret: in this Francis was originally a photographer (and Arthur was a barista, but that's not the point) more or less based off of Long November, and also that gorgeous picture of Francis straddling Arthur with a camera, and anyway it got derailed eventually and I saddled them with jobs that fit the story better, but one day I shall write a story about photo-taking and Arthur being a rumpled, sullen sod about it all but letting Francis do his thing anyway. Francis will probably take pornographic pictures when he can't see and present them in a gallery, but that's another story altogether.

Re: my Arthur, he is very much an asshole when he wants to, but he constantly keeps his temper back (though badly) because he wants to be considered as the cool, unflappable British gentleman à la Phileas Fogg, and it keeps failing, which clearly upsets him even more. I think Francis riles him up just to see that little crease between his eyebrows when Arthur realizes he's yelling yet again. /headcanon moment.
