French Café

I'm sitting here at the moment, in my room, having a cigarette with Édith Piaf's La Vie En Rose playing off my itunes (such a mood spoiler i tell you. I want an ipod player that looks like a grammophone.) and i was just thinking of a french woman in an old café, sipping coffee slowly and smoking a Gitane cigarette, smoking it perfectly, just as a woman should. She smells of Jasmine and as her perfume fills the air and mixes with the smoke of the cigarettes, a grand, seductive, totally oldschool scent is created. Sound nice? I think it does. Okay but aside from all the pretentious bullshit, I was really intruigued when i saw this perfume (YES, that means i made up the whole imagining the french café bit BUT it got your attention, no?). The notes consist of Jasmine (duh), Tobacco (duh), Tonka bean, Amber and Musk, to name a few. The perfume was meant to be an ode to the oldschool movie era and feminine sensuality.

Jasmin et Cigarette, about 55 euros for a 50ml bottle, from the ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE website
