Okay, now this is gunna take some balls, but I have to confess. After buying this wonderful band's new album today and giving it a long listen to I have to admit something I thought I would never say... I like emo, not traditional emo, but this emotional shit that is "This Feeling's Called Goodbye" by the Brothers Past. And I like the Postal Service, and a lot of other emoesque music, but theres a catch... It needs to be electronic! The electronic edge + the emo lyrics = me being totally into it. But its weird I don't think I could write these lyrics because though they are poetic and seem very right depending on my mood I'd feel like an asshole writting songs that were that depressing. But thats just me. But Tom Hamilton pulls it off so nicely that I'm actually admitting that I like it! I'll still be doing a ton of SCI/B-grass shows this summer, but I'm so jumping in this electronic pool of fun. The Disco Biscuits are comming to an end so I want to catch my first and final show, though I think they may be done. I also wanna see STS9, Brothers Past, The Faint, Daft Punk (they're still around right?), a ton of DJs, The New Deal, infected mushroom, mark farina, robert miles, paul van dyk, josh wink, planet b, anne savage, moshi moshi, DJ Paul Louth, spektrum, neo & farina, flash brothers, A.I., resonant evil, rob sparx, DJ Rap, and High Fusion Five. If I get 5 electronica shows this summer + Cheese + some festivals then I will be one very happy camper.
I've fallen in love with one line tho and its kinda off topic but to stress how cool it is I wanted to end my entry with it:
"Lately I haven't been able to get a hold of too many drugs. So instead I went and fell in love with a girl with yellow hair."
