Dear Livejournal, Friends and Family.
I'm sorry that my updating has not been as frequent as some may of liked or that my purpose of having a Livejournal (it's even a paid account)is not being used to it's full potential. The truth is that the updating my Livejournal is very much at the bottom of my list of priorities at the moment, but i do promise that I shall make more of an effort of making entries (such as this one) a more reoccurring feature.
Where do I start with the 'what's going wrong' and 'what's going right' aspects of my life? I got a new 'casual' job with Showsec - International Crowd Management as an 'Events Steward'. I attended the two day training course and got my 'new' qualification in Intermediate Crowd Management. That was two weeks ago, and I have yet to call the head office and ask for a job to do. The truth is that i'm lazy, and I don't think i'd look forward to working 15 or so hour days. The money is extremely good though. It's a catch 22 situation.
Tanya is living in London now. I went down there a month or so when she arrived and 'helped' with her settling in. I haven't been back since because A) I've been too busy. B) I've been Poor. & C) I've been too busy and poor. I'm sure there will be other times during the summer I could go down there, but she recently told me that she's lonely and wants to go home.
I haven't been at work for the past 3 weeks and it feels great to have a break from the place. It's starting to make me realise how much I hate my job, but yet enjoy it at the same time. I need a new job.
Last Saturday night I went to see the EELS with STRINGS, at the Royal Centre, Nottingham. I have never felt so emotional about a gig.
Though relying heavily on Eels' grand new album Blinking Lights And Other Revelations, the evening included many reworked highlights from throughout E's recording career. Beautiful Freak's My Beloved Monster and Spunky worked great with strings while fans were treated to pre-Eels song The Only Thing I Care About and a subtle cover of Dylan's Girl From The North Country.
Like the new album, the performance was broken up by short instrumentals. By finishing with five separate encores (including one well after the lights came on) this evening, too, could be described as epic.
I just realised it's coming up to 3am now and I'm stupid to be still awake at this hour.
Till we meet again, Goodnight.

P.s. Rachel - I can't stop listening to your Mixed CD!
