In which we are Content
I started my new job today. I am going to *LOVE* it.
Why, you say?
1) The job isn't incredibly difficult...but there is room for advancement, and room for pushing myself to succeed.
2) The enviroment is FANTASTIC. Laid back, casual...everyone is a nice little family.
3) Casual dress - YAY JEANS!!!
4) Benefits. Yes...benefits. For about $60.00/month...I have full benefits. Granted, its as though I were with an HMO...but they are fantastic benefits, nonetheless. I'm really excited about this part. Guess what I'm going to do middle of August, after they kick in? Make an eye appointment, because I need glasses. And then, guess what I'm going to do? Make a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned. And THEN guess what I'm going to do? Find myself a good family practitioner to go and get my girly type check up that I haven't been able to afford in several years. Oh...and then you know what I'm going to do? Talk to the doctor about my manic-depressiveness. Its gotten a lot better this year, but it would still be nice to have something diagnosed.
On top of the new job? I got to go work out. Kenni is my new work out partner, and he definitely rocks. Unfortunately, I can't yet afford to buy really healthy groceries...but damn...I'm working towards it. The working out is good for me. I *WILL* look better for ICC. I *WILL* be some kind of sexy beast...and then the people who have issues with my body can take a flying leap... :)
In addition? I will probably be starting a SECOND new job next week. Keep your fingers crossed...receptionist at a cosmetics place, Tuesday-Saturday, 3-6. It'll pay 10.50 an hour...and that, on top of overtime, will give me money to catch up on my bills and have some money for playing.
Its going to be rough, but I can do this. Why? Because I want to be able to tell the people who think I'm a worthless deadbeat to fuck off and die. :)
EDIT: AND...we went to Celebrations....which always makes me very, very happy. Lucas got me a new set of Tarot...and they are absoloutly stunning. Since my other two sets up and walked away (I think they were angry and wanted me to get new cards) I was gifted with some....they are so very pretty. I plan on doing a spread for him tonight... :D Squee!
