What we do at work
Nuggie was wondering what exactly me and Dan do at work so....
I (Jeff) work the front desk which includes, checking guests into the resort, helping them with all their needs while they're there, checking them out of the resort, answering telephone calls, making reservations, working with owners and their owner reservations, maintenance fees, questions about using the facilities. I also do tons of projects and act as a conseirge service helping people plan their vacation. With over 250 people checking in in a week, the job is pretty demanding. We make guest packages, print numerous reports and keep track of revenue reports. We are the nucleus of the resort, the hub where everything revolves around.
Dan's department provides the guest with activities while they are at the resort. We have an indoor pool, outdoor pool, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, raquetball, basketball, billards, fitness center, pinpong, arcades, arts and crafts, games, bingo, aerobics....etc. Dan is the supervisor of that department which means he is in charge of the people working those different locations. He orchestrates the activities/arts/crafts schedule throughout the day and also handles money, ordering...etc. It's a big department to be supervisor of. He needs to move about the resort a lot. One major part of activities too, is they help people plan their vacation too. They are more of a consierge service than we are at the front desk. They put on this seminar twice a week called "plan you cape cod vacation". Dan sometimes does that seminar too.
