It's a new year already!
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I hope all of your dreams and resolutions will come true this year!
Secondly, since my resolution this year is to use this journal more often, I'm am starting now by this lil entry. Will see how long that will last XD
2010 was really...full of ups and downs, to say the least. I turned 30 and that was scary. Even though my surprise party was awesome. The bf really worked hard on it and I am the most naive person in the whole world for not seeing it come XD Still, I have to admit that it was a little bit depressing to be 30 and still not be pregnant. It's been a year now that we've been trying. On the plus side, I have an appointment at the reproduction clinic this month. I guess I'll finally know what's wrong. If something's wrong, that is.
Cosplay wise, it was a good year. Slow, but good. Except for the writing, recording and coordinating of two skits for the same Con (ConBravo in Oakville, ON). The con itself was really nice, really cozy, but the stress leading up to there? Not cool, man, not cool. Rue-chan, Byabo and I are always expected to deliver things that are to please everyone in the group and they are quick to criticize but really really slow (read NEVER) to help us. Still, we performed and it was good and OAS loved our performances, so I guess that's a victory there. I'm really happy with my Yuuko cosplay though. And I am SO SO SO happy I got to judge the Skit contest at Anime North last year. With Yaya Hun none the less. She's so pretty *_* And she was really really nice. And it was really good to hear from the old Skit Contest director that she was disappointed Team JavX couldn't perform this year. It stroked our ego XD And Otakuthon made it to its fifth anniversary. How awesome is that? We had well over 7000 attendees this year, iirc. We're getting bigger and bigger each year and better and better. At the closing ceremonies, the testimony of the guests were really pleasing to hear. I'm really happy it has taken off this well now. We're a long way from being 150 ninjas at the foot of Mont Royal XD And now I'm looking forward to G-Anime once again (even though Hoshi is not coming ;_; ) and I should really start to work on my Altaïr cosplay if I want it to get it done by then XD I'm such a procrastinator, really XD At worse, he'll be in his Novice form. Or I'll just make a Desmond hoodie and get away with that XD
Talking about Desmond, roleplay has been nice and slow and good this year. No drama like last year. Seems that Som's wanky streak is finally over, which is really really good. And the new muses I picked up let me play with people I wouldn't have before. So that's really nice too. I think my writing is better too: the AC cast are all made of amazing writers and Meg, Lari and Em are amazing as well, so I have to step up my game, really.
Hahahahaha wow, I'm really out of the loop XD The bf just reminded me that I'm leaving for my parents' place the day after tomorrow. I had completely forgotten about that. I suck, man, I suck. But it'll be nice to spend some time with them. And it'll force me to work on Alty, especially if there is no more snow ;_; I wanted to go skying, but I guess that'll have to wait.
