Now that she had me cancel my appointment with the bridal shop to get the alterations done on my bridesmaid's dress, my mother has emailed me yet again to tell me to see if I can the alterations done out here by a friend. I leave for the stupid wedding in two weeks, I am busy both weekends in between, and now she springs this on me. Oh, and she doesn't actually trust anyone I know to do the alterations, because every time I say something like, "well, I'll check with so-and-so," she tells me not to have them do it unless they're really good. MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND, MOTHER. Either pay to have a professional alter the dress, which you don't seem to want to do, or live with the results you get when you force your daughter to beg her friends to do it at the last minute.
