Мне двадцать один год...

I've done some stuff. I should post about it more often.

We went to Miami. We had some good food there. We went to a really nice Cuban place and an Italian sidewalk cafe that would send a limo to pick you up, among other things. We spent a lot of time in the ocean. The beach we kind of seaweedy with a few sharp rocks here and there when you first got in, and then as you went out it got a little deeper, then it got shallower again until it was probably not more than a foot and a half deep, and then it started getting deeper again, indefinitely, as far as I cared to find out. By the time one gets that far out, however, the rocks are mostly mashed up into sand, and the seaweed is a little easier to avoid, since it's just coming in and not coming and and running back out at you. We wanted to try to get all the weeds out. Yay for us farm state kids. Our hotel had a really nice pool too, which was good for getting the salt off after the ocean. There was also a small, narrow lazy river and a waterslide that really didn't have enough water to actually push me down. I had to scoot half of the time. It was silly. Overall, it was a really good trip. I got a shirt with parrots on it.

After that, we helped my mom move into her new house. It's pretty cool. I might try to have a party there later. While we were moving out of the old house, we decided the best way to get two sets of encyclopedias and some random boards down from the third floor was to chuck them out the window into the backyard. We aimed for the rosy roller, which my brother graciously set up, but it was a bit dark for me to see it. I have pictures of the aftermath if anybody's interested. We also painted most of four rooms of the new house the first weekend we were there. I'll say it was a rip-roaring adventure and leave it at that.

Last weekend we went to Muncie. I mostly just sat around with Derek exchanging music and catching up. I also started watching Firefly, which I've immensely enjoyed so far.

Other than that, I've mostly been working. Gamestop had buy two get one free used games, so I bought Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and Advance Wars 2 and got Megaman X: Command Mission free. THUG 2 is really sweet, and I can't believe nobody told me it has time dilation. That was totally my idea. Advance Wars 2 is also very sweet. I just finished liberating Green Earth earlier this evening. The battle system in Command Mission is fun, but the characters and story aren't very compelling so far. I spent to prologue and the first two chapters waiting for the story to start, and now that I'm in chapter three I'm kind of starting to think I may get most of the way through the game without really getting that attached to the characters. In any case, the battles are fun and there are plenty of zany Force Metals to collect, so it makes it worthwhile.

I think I want to maybe start an organization dedicated to the identification and propagation of cool stuff. We'd have regular meetings where we did stuff that was fun, and it would be cool. I need a good name for it, like the Federation of Awesome Guys, or something. My other idea would be to start a Ninja Club dedicated to meditation and acrobatics. I don't really have a lot of interest in combat, I'd just like to be more able to do things like flips and wall jumps.

Also I'd like to do video projects, so somebody at Purdue should totally have a camera and help me out. The first thing I want to do is have a Skies of Arcadia style ship battle between some cars, possibly with a regular character battle to follow it up. I've been talking to Adam about that, and I think we've got some good ideas. Also, there are a lot of cool places in buildings here that should totally have some stories made up to go with them if they don't have sufficient explanation already. My dream project would be sort of a live action sprite comic, with me as Megaman X. That would probably be extremely time consuming and only funny to me, however, so I don't expect much to come of it.

Finally, I got around to using some of the Pistachios I got from my dad. The result is here. I hope people's summers are going well. Mine is. This weekend we're going to visit Mel's family. There will be fireworks, boats, and general good times. Sometime in July we're going to Mammoth Cave, but I'm not really sure what else I want to do. Maybe some concerts. Static-X is going to be in Fort Wayne, and there's also Gigantour. We'll see.
