Zombie!Rorschach, Puppy-sized Elephants, and Patrick Wilson's Ass? I think yes.
There are QUITE a few things to talk about here. Almost all nerd-related.
...Okay, ALL nerd-related. But that's still good, right?
First of all: HO DAMN. Etherati's fanfic, Now, As Before, HAS BECOME MY LIFE. I bow down to its power over my soul. 8D Zombie!Rorschach makes me so hot and bothered, I don't even have enough shame left to hide it. And the gradual build-up of tension in Dan and Rorschach's relationship? AJHFKSHFKHA AH-MAZIN'. After a life of reading only from FanFiction.net, I'm so freakin' happy to have found so many fantastic bits of fanwork here on LJ (like I Wanna See You On The Other Side, the only Western fic I have ever read and actually fangasmed over liked. READ IT!). I am seriously warming up to this place.
In other news, a friend recently showed me a channel on YouTube (What? People still actually waste their time there? I do, apparently) devoted to the two best, nerdiest brothers the world has ever seen. They talk about everything from Harry Potter songs, to the inevitable evolutionary development of puppy-sized elephants. They refer to themselves as NerdFighters, making the world a better, more hilarious place for nerds everywhere. :D My favorite quote? "When people call you a nerd, if you think about it, it's a compliment. They're basically saying, 'Hey! You're a person who really likes stuff with a lot of enthusiasm!'" Gotta love those two. XD
And lastly, WATCHWOMEN. Way. To. GO. I respect those women so much, not only for representing the girl fans of Watchmen, but for doing it well. They discuss what (at least in my opinion) are the most pressing questions of the fandom, while ALSO providing awesome fanfic, fanart, and other hilarity. Namely, Patrick Wilson's ass. ;) I so look forward to hearing from them, the podcasts are so thorough and wonderful I will forever owe them a little bit of my soul. :3 Keep being as awesome as you are, ladies!!
