Hide and Go Seek
So, it seems that God is hidden from me as I seek for him. It is as if God slips behind a rock every time I round a turn. The problem can be blamed on God or more simply on me.
So often we look for something that we are not ready to find. We search for God, but in all reality we don't really want to find Him. We are stuck playing this game of hide and go seek. I have to seek the silence and separate myself from all noises of my life. My heart must be ready to find the one I am seeking.
The truth is as it is said in a recent Christian song, He is our "all consuming fire". What does that mean. It seems that this has the connotation that God engulfs everything, good or bad. God is there, everywhere. It also shows that God is ready to cleanse us through the means necessary such as fire. Fire is used to cleanse crops from bad roots or bugs of any kind, it makes a fresh start for a once bad field to yield ripe new fruit.
I don't know about you, but I need God. It is time that we went all of the way to edge. It is time that we, I, stop living in a complacent world and start living in an on the edge, vivacious, crazy life for God. It is my prayer that we push the envelope and storm in as a united body of Christ. The kingdom is here, why don't we live in it? What are we afraid of?
